PRESS RELEASE

On November 7th, 2022, deputies with the Sevier County Sheriff's Office took a report regarding a baby being born at a home in Lockesburg. After further investigation, it was discovered that the baby did not live and was disposed of. Deputies and Investigators with the Sevier County Sheriff's Office located the male baby in a nearby dumpster. The mother of the baby boy is a 17-year-old female juvenile and the male subject that is believed to be involved and believed to be the father was identified as Matthew Hallmark. Both juvenile and Hallmark are currently being held for Abuse of a corpse pending autopsy at the Arkansas State Crime Lab and further investigation.
